Getting to Derwent View
By Car
Take the A6187 through Hathersage. You will come to a set of traffic lights with the “Sickleholme Petrol Station” on your right. Turn right here following the sign for Bamford. Drive through the village up the hill and as you begin to drive down the other side you will see the ‘50 Mile Limit Sign’ at the end of the village. Turn right here and take the first right again and Derwent View is in the right hand top corner.
By public transport
Bamford railway station on the Hope Valley line is 1 mile away from Derwent View, at the bottom of the village. It has a regular pay-train service with links to Manchester and Sheffield. There is also a regular bus service, picking up in the village.
